What information do we collect?
I. Anonymous Data
(a) RealVu Web Site: We collect some information each time a visitor comes to our web site to help us improve the overall quality of the visitor's online experience. The information we collect may include, but is not limited to, the time when a visitor comes to our web site, the visitor's site path, the visitor's internet service provider and host, and the visitor's browser and operating platform type. We also collect data on a visitor's online activities on our web site. We collect and aggregate this user information for purposes of monitoring and improvement of our web site, products and services. You do not have to register with us in order for us to be able to collect this anonymous information.
We reserve the right to publish anonymous, aggregate summary information regarding our web site's visitors for promotional purposes and as a representative audience for potential advertisers on our web site. Please note that such information is not personal information, but will only consist of general summaries of our visitors' usage of our web site.
(b) RealVu Tags and RealVu-enabled display advertisements. RealVu is an online ad delivery and ad reporting platform. We disseminate proprietary RealVu Tags that our licensees place on their web sites in order to enable them to track RealVu Information (as defined below). Our technology also enables advertisers or advertising agencies to "tag" display advertisements and/or content that are displayed on non-licensee web sites. RealVu Tags and RealVu-enabled display advertisements enable us, whenever RealVu-enabled display advertisements and/or content is delivered to the viewable area of the active internet browser window on the computer or device of an Internet user, to collect information about "Reach" (namely, whether, when, and for how long), "Frequency" (namely, how often) such computer user was presented such display advertisement and/or content. In addition, we may collect information about "View Through" (namely, whether such user subsequently visited certain web sites designated by our clients that are associated with the aforementioned display advertisements and/or content). We also collect information about the Internet user's display screen resolution, browser type and window dimensions, and scrolling position at the point of view events (hereinafter "Viewer Display Environment" and, together with Reach, Frequency, and View Through, collectively referred to as "RealVu Information").
We do not engage in "Online Behavioral Advertising", which is commonly defined as the collection of data from a particular computer or device regarding Web viewing behaviors over time and across non-Affiliate Web sites for the purpose of using such data to predict user preferences or interests to deliver advertisements to that computer or device based on the preferences or interests inferred from such Web viewing behaviors.
The information collected by us is limited to RealVu Information data. Any information reported to our licensees and to authorized third parties such as media data analysts is disseminated only in the form of anonymous, aggregated data. The data contained in such reports are only intended for analysis on the effectiveness of online display advertisements and/or content, and are not intended to be used not for the purpose or in furtherance of Online Behavioral Advertising by us or any non-affiliated web sites or parties.
II. Personally Identifiable Information
Personally identifiable information or "PII" refers to data that directly identifies who you are (such as your name and postal address, social security number or other identifying number or code, telephone number, email address) which may be collected in addition to the anonymous data described above. "PII" is not collected in the advertising and content delivery and reporting process.

We may also request additional information relating to our licensees' web sites, such as page views. The foregoing information is not required in order for you to use and enjoy our web site, but is provided by you on a voluntary basis only in order to become a registered licensee.
We may also collect log-in information, such as account name, user name and user e-mail addresses, of our licensees' internal users that log-in to access our online Ad Reporting portal. Such user information may be associated with a user's individual visitation permission and actual visitation activity whether or not he or she is logged-in to our online RealVu Reporting portal at such time.
We do not collect any credit card details that our prospective or approved licensees may provide to our external payment processing vendor(s) for payment of licensing and use fees.
(b) Correspondence: When you contact us and/or make payments of license fees, we keep a record of your and our correspondence and/or payment history. We only use the information provided in order to be able to respond to the e-mail and for ordinary corporate record keeping purposes.
How do we use PII?
How do we collect information?
Cookies are small text files that web servers may place on an Internet user's computer in order to store basic information, such as visitor preferences. These files identify the visitors' computer and record their preferences and other data about their visit to that web site such that, when the visitor returns to the web site, the web site knows who the visitor is and can personalize his or her visit. For example, cookies can enable a web site's log-on page to function so that visitors only have to log-on once. Generally, two types of cookies are used: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies exist only during an Internet user's online session. They disappear from the user's computer when he or she closes the browser software. Persistent cookies remain on the user's computer after the browser has been closed.
Whenever an Internet user, for the first time, views a RealVu-enabled display advertisement and/or other RealVu-enabled content, an cookie will be placed on the Internet user's computer or device. The cookie contains an anonymous, unique, randomly and dynamically created identification number ("ID") placed on such user's computer or device, which enables us to know how many times a user was exposed to a RealVu enabled ad. This data only pertains to the RealVu-enabled advertisement and/or content on each of our licensees' respective web sites and no other data is collected at any time. Each time any RealVu-enabled advertisement and/or content is presented to and viewed on an Internet user's computer or device, our servers check for this unique ID. An anonymous record is then updated in our system to register the instance of specific, RealVu-enabled advertisements and/or content being presented and viewable within the viewable area of the Internet user's browser window. No other information is saved on the user's computer or communicated to our servers.
RealVu updates/deletes cookies every 13 months when checked by a RealVu enabled advertisement.
Session Cookies are used on our website when visited by registered users (clients).
Cookies used on our web site do not identify you personally. They merely recognize your browser, unless you choose to identify yourself voluntarily, such as when you ask your browser to remember your username and password or when you request additional information on our product or service.
For our licensees who login to their account page or who visit the RealVu Ad Reporting portal on our web site, Cookies are used to save their username so that we can process the saved login information, verify your identity as a license, and quickly log that user into the relevant section on our servers.
Disabling our Cookies
When examining your cookies you may notice a cookie that is set by the following domain[s]: realvu.net domain is used for data collection and are the primary domains we use to measure visitor behavior on our web site. The realvu.net domain is the primary domain we use to store visitor preferences.
For further information about disabling cookies you can visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Disabling our session cookies will prevent the user from being able to log into the RealVu back office.
Clear gifs, web bugs, or web beacons are small, graphic image files placed on a web site page or in an e-mail message that is designed to monitor who is visiting the web site page or e-mail message. Clear gifs are often invisible to the user because they are typically very small (only 1-by-1 pixel) and the same color as the background of the web site page or e-mail message. Clear gifs are represented as HTML IMG tags in the web site page; users should click on "view source" of the web site page to see whether the page is using a clear gif. We do not use nor permit third parties to use Web bugs on our web site.
Local Shared Objects
RealVu does not use Local Shared Objects, also known as "LSOs", or Flash Cookies.
We have physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards in place to protect and maintain the security, confidentiality, and integrity of all data under our control, to prevent unauthorized access to such data, and to help protect against their loss, misuse, and alteration.
By way of example, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software to protect information using both server authentication and data encryption to help ensure that our data is safe, secure, and available only to our authorized employees, and customers. We provide unique usernames and passwords that must be entered each time a customer, or one of our employees that has a business need to access the information, logs on to one of our servers via our web site to input or view data.
In addition, we, and our co-location partners, use secured server areas and advanced firewall technology to minimize the risk of security breaches for individually identifiable information that is volunteered on our web site. All data collected by RealVu may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which RealVu or its co-location partners maintain data storage and processing facilities.
While we strive to protect your personal information, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be fully secure and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you send to us. Any information that you send via our web site is entirely at your own risk. An important part of protecting the security of personal information is your own effort to protect against unauthorized access to and disclosure of your information, including user-ID and passwords. Be sure to log out of web sites that you visit and to close your browser each time you finish your session to ensure others cannot access your personal information, particularly when using a shared computer or device, such as in a public place.
