IFRAMEs allow a visual HTML browser window to be split into segments, each of which can show a different document. Such IFRAMES are sometimes used by ad servers for distribution display ads on networks and individual websites.

An ad tag in these systems typically call a third party tag or load an ad from a different domain using javascript, that dynamically renders an IFRAME on the page the tag resides on and after that renders an ad or another script tag on a document inside the IFRAME.

Such construction is popular because it prevents a code delivered within the ad tags from breaking the HTML code of the page it is placed on; however conflicting style (CSS) settings of the IFRAME and the document inside it, such as size, padding, margin, position or border width can potentially can prevent an ad content from being displayed properly.

When RealVu® tag is placed within an IFRAME of the same domain, the ad content renders inside the IFRAME. However, the RealVu® tag knows the size of the IFRAME it is placed within preventing IFRAME fraud (e.g. placing RealVu tags within a 1 x 1 pixel IFRAME.)

This situation may occur if an IFRAME tag is placed directly in the HTML code of a webpage and another document, residing on a different domain, that has RealVuŽ tag on it is loaded into this IFRAME.

When a RealVuŽ ad tag is placed in an IFRAME of a different domain, a warning message will appear. Ad content will not be rendered, and a viewable impression will not be counted. This insures accurate viewable impression reporting and prevents IFRAME fraud (e.g. intentional placement of RealVuŽ tags on the document within an IFRAME outside of the viewable area of the frame's window or when the IFRAME itself is positioned on the page outside of the viewable area or invisible because of its 0 x 0 px or 1 x 1 px size.)
